Plano gun case February 1, 2010 T. B. Kibler I used this gun case to ship a shotgun that needed to be repaired. It worked just great and did not cost much more than the shipping.
Pefect Size January 30, 2010 John M. Holderegger (Evanston, WY United States) Great price for a great product. Just the right size for my AR 15 with a folding stock.
Not Very Useful January 24, 2010 Gerald E. Pond (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this case as the new model for replacing/needing another Field Locker brand case for my new GSG-5 carbine and is not useful wihout modifications. It has plastic latches, two more than the old model but not steel. It also has a pillar that prohibits you from putting any complete collapsible stocked rifle in plus has a couple tray slots of sorts near the molded in handle that limits the use further.I removed the pillar in the center from each side and patched it over from inside to be able to use it for my purpose plus trimmed some of the edges that it closes to custom fit and use for my rifle.
It is advertised as a take down shotgun case but ought to be useful for others,I use one for my Colt AR M4 with collapisble stock and nicely fits it with half a dozen 20 round mags.I ended up looking on the net and buying two other Fieldlocker cases for arrows at $20 each same size like my old one that was sold as a takedown gun case and bought my own foam for them.It is a poor thought out design that has limited use and could have been updated just by adding two end latches or maybe a middle added small snap like the economy Plano cases used to have,do not purchase unless for a take down rifle or shotgun as that is all it is good for
a good sturdy case November 11, 2009 Patient (Michigan) I am using this for my Browning semi-auto 22 which is convenient to take down. This case is quite compact. I particularly like the fact that it has locks on the ends. The foam is quite thick and you have to really squeeze the case to get it shut but this makes me confident that the gun isn't going to shift around in the case. The pillar in the center helps keep the case quite rigid. Very much worth the money....
Excellent case for the price June 18, 2009 buntu (Austin, TX) Have a 28" O/U Shotgun which I bought for $400 used. So after doing quite a bit of research, settled on this one as my budget was not over 10% of the cost of the gun.
The gun fits nicely, however, the case closes a little awkward but is just fine. Not good for travel however excellent for local use i.e. to the range and back.
